In May, the recorded unemployment reached its lowest level since the establishment of the Employment Agency. The recorded value of 5.3% marks a decrease on a monthly and annual basis respectively with 0.3 and 0.8 percent.

At the end of May, the registered unemployed persons in the Labour Bureaus are 175 399. The job openings in May are 18 542 and 85.0% of them are in the private sector. The biggest share is for jobs in the processing industry (27.6%), hotels and restaurants (19.2%), commerce, automobile and motorcycle repairs (14.9%), administrative and auxiliary activities (7.4%), construction (5.5%), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (4.4%) and others.

The most wanted professions for this month are: personnel for hotels and restaurants (bartenders, waiters, chefs, valet etc.); workers in mining and manufacturing, construction and transport; salesmen; operators of stationary machinery and equipment; workers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries; skilled workers in food production, clothing, wood articles and such; waste collectors; installers; metallurgists, machine builders.
